A Touch of Class is a junior - senior organization with a membership that includes males and females of multi-cultural backgrounds. Our primary goal is to render service to both the Buchholz and Gainesville communities. By lending our resources of time and energy, we believe that every member will receive those intangible rewards that money can not buy. Our service projects typically include annual involvement with the following organizations:  Friendship Daycare Center, St. Francis House, the March of Dimes, and many holiday projects for our senior citizen friend, Mrs. Rosetta Taylor.

Knowing and serving Mrs. Taylor has been such a blessing to our organization. She is ninety years old and wheelchair bound by a stroke. Yet she welcomes us with open arms. We have regular contact with her through yearlong service projects. Activities have included a Thanksgiving basket tailored to her specific dietary needs, donation of Christmas tree with decorations, a Christmas gift, Christmas caroling, a spring party or dinner, flowers, and more. We thank her for the opportunity she gives to us.

A secondary goal of the organization involves helping members to become good citizens in their school and home communities. We encourage members to engage in healthy, positive activities. We do this by sponsoring activities that:

 (A) Provide motivation for academic success,

 (B) Encourage positive post-high school careers,

 (C) Promote positive social and interpersonal relationships between     members and non-members.

Activities in these areas include visiting college campuses such as Tuskegee University, FAMU, and FSU.

Through all of these activities, we believe that we can effectively help our members to be well rounded individuals who are assets to both the Buchholz and Gainesville communities.
